Timbers are specialist suppliers of wood panel products, protective coatings
and adhesives.
Of course we supply
boatbuilders - both professional and home.We have also helped many others
out where they need quality products for special applications. Aircraft
builders, airlines, transport companies, garage door manufacturers, furniture
manufacturers, builders, the list goes on.
We have
supplied materials for use in Antartica, and on the North-west Shelf.
Our products have been exported to boatbuilders working in countries
in Asia and the Pacific. Maybe we can help you.
Our
Story
Marine
Timbers had its genesis over 30 years ago, when Roland Johnson and two
friends designed the Fairy Penguin sailing dinghy. First order of business
was the production of kits for the Fairy Penguin, and over 600 kits,
boats and plansets have been sold since. As a consequence Roland gained
agencies for gaboon and klinki plywoods, and the business know today
as Marine Timbers was born.
Our Future
We
recently introduced "Aquacote", a new-generation water-based polyurethane,
easy to use, and safer to apply. We are currently installing a computer-controlled
router, for the production of plywood boat kits. Our aim is to continue
to grow, serving specialist markets in quality panel products, coatings
